Hello and Welcome! I’m Reginald Woodard and I have fallen in love with running again. This site is a way to share my journey to my first marathon with the world. I hope to inspire others to accomplish goals and to not be afraid of challenges that life brings us. I encourage everyone to #findyourfit.

So about me. My journey started about 5 years ago. I was closing the gap on 300 pounds and was physically and emotionally miserable. High blood pressure was a serious issue as the doctor said that at the rate I was going I’d be lucky to last another 10 years. I cried and that about my son. I had to do better for myself for him. Months later, I lost my younger brother tragically and unexpectedly to a condition that was preventable had he been in better health. I made the decision to start running. If I had only 10 years left, I wasn’t going out standing still. I want to live and feel alive. This is my fight… to live and not be afraid.
For all that visit this site, please leave a comment and share your experiences. Thanks for sharing this journey. I’ll see you around! #itstime2run

I ran both Run the Bluegrass and Kentucky Derby Mini! They were so much fun. I also ran the Blanton Bourbon Derby in Paris KY. If you enjoyed the scenery of Run the Bluegrass you will love The Bourbon Derby:)
